CREATE & EDIT FORMS: 
 

Create forms based on tables. Enter and edit data and forms. Change background color of form, as well as move and resize fields. 
 

SORT AND FILTER DATA: 
 

Use Find & Replace to locate and/or change data, use Quick Sort to sort data alphabetically, use Filter by Selection to search for specific data in tables. 
 

CREATE QUERIES:

Learn about the Desktop, Title bar, Menu bar, Toolbar, Minimize, Maximize, Restore, and Close buttons 
 

NAVIGATING IN WINDOWS: 
 

Four basic mouse techniques used in Windows. Minimize, Maximize, Restore, Move, and Resize windows. Multitasking (running more than one program at a time). Viewing multiple programs simultaneously 
 

FILE MANAGEMENT:
 

Save, Close, Open and Print files. Rename, Copy, and Delete files. Installing and un-installing software. Copying a file to or from a floppy disk. 
 

SHORTCUTS: 
 

Create, rename, and delete shortcuts to files and programs. 
 

SEARCH/FIND: 
 

Locate and open files and programs. 
 

RECYCLE BIN: 
 

Delete and Restore files and shortcuts. 
 

CUSTOMIZE WINDOWS:  
 

Change mouse, keyboard, Desktop, and screen saver settings. Move, Re-Size, and Hide the Taskbar, etc.

FORMAT DOCUMENT: 
 

Change margins, justification, and line spacing. Add borders and shading, page numbers, headers & footers, special symbols and characters, clip art. Indent paragraphs, add footnotes and endnotes. 
 

FORMAT TEXT: 
 

Bold, italicize, and underline text, change font, change font size. Add bullets and numbers. 
 

EDIT TEXT: 
 

Cut and Paste, Copy and Paste, Drag and Drop text. Delete text, Undo and Redo actions. 
 

MISC: 
 

Run Spell Checker, Grammar Checker,  and Thesaurus. Add new words to AutoCorrect dictionary.

MAIL MERGE: 
 

Combine a list of names and addresses with a Word form letter. Combine an Access database with a Word form letter 
 

COLUMNS: 
 

Insert columns, change number and width of columns. Format text in columns (center, bold, etc.) 
 

TABLES: 
 

Add and delete columns and rows. Adjust width of columns and rows. Split and merge cells. Format text in tables (center, bold, etc.). Calculate numbers and sort data. 
 

CREATE MAILING LABELS AND ENVELOPES: 
 

MACROS: 
 

Use macros to automate basic actions (format a document, add name and address). 
 

MISC.: 
 

Work with multiple documents (open and switch between files). Insert page breaks, section breaks, and column breaks into a document. Use AutoText to automate data entry.
